We have built a specialist site which explains how we work with schools, click here for more information.
What schools say about working with us:
Cranleigh Primary School talk about the extra curricular dance club & PE Dance Lessons that we run at their school:
I've had really positive feedback about the street dance classes - the children are thoroughly enjoying it and it's great to see a performance at the end of the sessions. So much progress each week!
I'm also hearing fab things about your dance PE lessons from the children - they're really inspired by you. Many thanks, Sarah Morris PE Subject Leader
Badshot Lea Infant School fed back on their whole school Divali Dance Day with Rachel from The Dance Movement:
Rachel captured the imagination of all our children through the story of Rama and Sita, differentiating across the year groups appropriately, ensuring each child achieved.
The whole school came together for a celebration of the day’s work, performing their dances in turn.
Rachel was able to manage us all accordingly addressing staff & pupils effectively.
I would highly recommend Rachel and The Dance Movement’s work in schools, as we felt we received excellent service and value for money.
Lakeside Primary School, Deputy Head Teacher Lesley Carter talks about the dance club Nicky used to run at the school.
Nicky was brilliant in working with a range of children. Our club focused on children who haven't participated in any dance clubs before and preference was given to those children who wouldn't normally be given the opportunity to learn a dance and perform for a large audience.
We have participated in several performances (with The Dance Movement) and the children have really enjoyed the experience of performing in a professional theatre and the wonderful (woodland) setting in the grounds of Frensham Heights School.
