The Birth of Stars

TBOS

THE BIRTH OF STARS (TBOS) IS A DIGITAL LIGHT, SOUND AND DANCE PERFORMANCE, BOUGHT TO YOU BY THE DANCE MOVEMENT, FUNDED BY ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND (GRANTS FOR THE ARTS)

If light is used as a representation for life, what path does our light take as we voyage through life?

The Birth of Stars is a bespoke digital light, sound and dance event created by The Dance Movement with artists Mary Branson, Mat Clark, Rosie Gunn and Rachel Palmer.

The cyclical process of a star being created and extinguished was brought to life in G Live’s studio space; a metaphor for the cycle of human existence. Experienced from the outside looking in, audiences wrapped up warm and were enchanted as performers interacted with digital light within the glass walled studio to a thought provoking sound score.

The performance was created as a unique theatrical experience for G Live’s Studio and outdoor space, audience members viewed the show from outside the Studio wearing headphones* for the 3D Audio soundtrack.
