The Big Dance Bus arrived in Farnham on the 18th of June for an afternoon of dance performances and workshops. For one day only, the Farnham Maltings car park was transformed into a dance arena, secured by The Dance Movement’s neighbours New Adventures and Rebourne. The Big Dance Company provided a showcase of performances of dance styles through the ages. From Swing and Lindy-hop, to Contemporary and Hip hop, the audience were treated to a multiple of workshops from the Big Dance Company. A breadth of dance diversity filled the car park drawing a crowd, ensuring a fabulous day.
The Dance Movement took to the floor to work in partnership with New Adventures, The Demeric School of Dance and Stopgap Dance Company delivering workshops for all ages and abilities. TDM’s performances saw our Leg-it boys present a breakdancing spectacle to the arena, followed by our advanced contemporary youth company, Coalesce. Partners in the Big Dance Bus event included ReBourne and Farnham Maltings, with artists Nicky Norton, Grace Campbell, Rachel Palmer, Vikki Jones and Kerry Biggin
