Images Ballet Company is the graduate ballet company of the eminent dance school London Studio Centre. As part of our professional dance programme The Dance Movement invited the Company to perform at Farnham Maltings on Thursday 18th May 2017, 7.30pm.
Jennifer Jackson (Artistic Director) brought her fledgling ballerinas to perform 4 brand new contrasting contemporary ballets.
After the performance Jennifer was available to answer those all important questions aspiring dancers and their families have in regards to dance training and careers in dance.
About the performances:
- Making her very first work for a ballet company irreverent choreographer Liz Aggis delves into ballet tales to find death and disaster.
- Ballet Ireland's Morgan Runacre-Temple presents imaginatively surreal articulations of the female body.
- Dances from the Prologue of Sleeping Beauty are bought to life with a new score by Tom Armstrong.
- Matthew Hart explores love and loss deftly woven into Malcom Arnold's vibrant Concerto for Two Pianos (Three Hands).
